Bandar Seri Begawan – Some 80 bloggers and food enthusiasts competed in the first-ever Ultimate Foodie Blogger Challenge in Kg Rimba yesterday. The winner of the competition was Reedz with his scrumptious recipe "Quick and Dirty Roast Lamb", followed by Yeeman with her recipe "Roasted Garlic and Anchovies” and Nikki with her lovely Macaroons.
Chef Nash and crew from Brunei’s Creative Chef, also presented a cooking demonstration during the competition. Among the food cooked were tenderloin of lamb, Tangy King Prawn with saffron chilli sauce and the juicy mini burgers.
In an interview with Senor Pablo, a representative from the organising committee, he said, "The competition is one of the meaningful ways to contribute to the society. As part of bloggers community, food is a common theme that binds people, so I thought why not organise a foodie challenge, which invites not only food bloggers but also food enthusiasts."
The event was organised by well-known Iocal bloggers in Brunei with support from food contributors. Bloggers and contributors had contributed 49 good recipes and the recipes will be collected and compiled into a book made available for everyone. The recipe book will be sold during the Special Olympic Brunei on May 3, and all the proceeds will go to charity. — Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

I cannot believe that i had actually missed out on your winning dish, but I sure hope to replicate it when the book’s published. There were soooo much delisioucities yesterday, so I was a bit juling hehe. Rugi rugi.

Unlike you, I don’t intend to replicate yr macaron recipe simply cos I suck at baking heheheh! Lets do a potluck one night and we can enjoy the macarons after the Q&D Lamb mains heheh!
