Last week, Asia Inc Forum launched the fifth year of its SME Program by formalizing a Mentor Support Group, a key element of the program. The program – partnered by Baiduri Bank Berhad and the Brunei Economic Development Board – is also supported by the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources along with the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei.

The program aims to bring together Brunei’s developing business owners to learn from mentors and speakers in the program, stressing on innovation with the newfound ideas generated from the learning process to expand their businesses further.

Present as the guest of honour at yesterday’s launching ceremony was the chairman of the Sungai Liang Authority, Pg Kerma Raja Pg Hj Kamarulzaman PPSDSB Pg Ali.

This year’s SME program will feature High Tea Mentoring Events that will see mentors inviting aspiring SME’s in similar industries to mini one-hour discussions where they will learn about building successful businesses in that particular industry.

Workshops will also be conducted with the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources where “branding” and “cluster development” will be looked at.
